Schooner Pickle |
Model designed entirely in-house by Rich, Dave and John.
| The jeer bitts and galley flue. |
| The authentic bower anchor. |
Faithful reproduction of the 'iron' hull straps into which the blocks for the topmast backstays are hooked. |
The transom, complete with two stern chase ports and name plate. |
| One of the pin racks complete with our own authentic turned wood belaying pins. |
The belaying points around the base of the schooner mast (fore mast). |
| Rigging of the shroud deadeyes, deadeye strops and shroud lanyards. Our original design deadeye strops hold the deadeyes firmly in place on the channel while still allowing faithful reproducion of the chains leading down and secured against the hull. You should notice also that the natural thread directly above the upper deadeyes is the belaying point of the shroud lanyard. The aftermost 'shroud' (on the right) actually forms the lower mast backstay and as such is not rigged with ratlines. |
