Admiralty Stains from Caldercraft are a new brand of stains engineered for use by modellers. All Admiralty Stains are Waterbased.
The first stain available in this range is Walnut and is for staining light wood to walnut (in our kits this is specifically for staining the birch dowel masts, spars etc.). A single coat, applied with a lint free cloth / tissue, gives a good walnut colouring which can be darkened to individual modellers tastes with further coats. It should be noted that this is not a standard ‘brown’ wood stain but our own stain specifically developed to produce a true walnut colour.
